China Grass Recipe

I made this desert last night. The recipes name is China Grass(perhaps due to its look) it has been given such an odd name. Take a look at the recipe on how to prepare this simple and easy desert.

Preparation Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:
1 Packet China Grass (have used half for 500 gms milk in this recipe)
1 small bowl sugar
4-5 cardamom seeds
Saffron powder
Milk
Chopped Almonds
 
Method:

1. Boil half litre of milk. Remove the boiled milk into a small bowl.

2. Cut the china grass into two halves and put it in the small bowl of milk. Let it stay there for a few seconds.


3. Put that bowl of milk with the china grass into the bigger vessel with milk. Keep it on slow flame, keep stirring it till the china grass gets dissolved .



4. Add sugar, saffron powder and cardamom seeds and keep stirring till the whole china grass is dissolved. After it has been dissolved , take some of it with a spoon and keep it in a small vessel.

5. Tilt the vessel, it shouldn't fall off (its set) if it does it has to be kept for a while. After it has been set keep it in the fridge to cool it.

6. Garnish it with chopped almonds and savor this delicious yummy desert.


Hara Bhara Kababs Recipe


Preparation time: 30 times

Ingredients:

1 Bunch of Palak
1 Medium sized bowl of boiled green peas
2 medium sized boiled potatoes
100 gms panneer
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp zeera
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
2-3 chopped green chillies
Bread crumbs


Method:

1. Cut the stems of the Palak and boil only the leaves for 2-3 mins.

2. Drain the water, put them in the cold water. Drain the cold water and squeeze it and chop them. 



3. Boil the potatoes and peas. Mash the potatoes and chop the peas.


4. Grate the Paneer and add to the palak leaves, add  ginger paster, zeera , salt and red chilly powder also also the bread crumbs and make a dough.





6. Make small Tikkis in round shape and deep fry them.

 The Hara Bhara Kababs are ready to eat. Serve it with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Homemade Chocolates Recipe

I wanted to share this chocolate recipe of mine since when, but due to my hectic schedule (yea am a housewife) so i couldn't, but better to be late than never I finally have shared my recipe for homemade chocolates which are easy to prepare and yummy to eat.


Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
Block Of Chocolate (500gms) (Dark/Milk Chocolate)


Chopped Almonds, Raisins or Dessicated Chocolate


Method

1. Take water in a vessel and heat it , when you see some when the water starts to boil put off the gas (don't let it fully boil).

2. Keep another vessel on top of the vessel with the heated water(upper vessel should be bigger than the lower one).

3. Put half chocolate bar in it and keep stirring it till the full bar has melted. Pour the melted batter into chocolate moulds.


4. You can add chopped almonds, raisins or dessicated coconut or a mixture of them into the batter in the molds. Tap the moulds in order to make the mixture even.

5. Keep the moulds in the fridge for 3 hours (not the freezer) for the chocolate batter to set.Take out the moulds and pop out the chocolates which have been frozen.


 You can wrap the chocolates in colored wrapping foil(easily available in the stationary store).

Vegetable Pizza Recipe

This recipe is just a basic vegetable pizza with the basic toppings which is very quick and easy to prepare. Kids and Adults love to eat it. Go ahead and check out the vegetable pizza recipe.
 
Preparation Time: 25 Mins

Ingredients:


1 Pizza Base (Serves 2 People)
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp schezwan sauce
Little Butter

For Toppings:
3 medium sized capsicum
1 big sized onion
2-3 big sized tomatoes
Salt to taaste
Grated Cheese (done with cubes)/ Mozzarella Cheese

Method:

1. Cut the vegetables into small pieces.

2. Take two tbsp of oil into a pan and put the chopped onions and saute them. Put capsicum and tomatoes and add a little salt and cook them till done. Keep it for about 10 mins on low flame.

3. Take the pizza base, make slits (not so deep) on the top of the base. 


4. Apply little butter thoroughly on the base, spread tomato sauce evenly on it and then spread a layer of schezwan sauce. Spread the cooked vegetables evenly on the base.


 5. Garnish it with grated cheese on it and then bake the Pizza in the oven for 5 mins.

Vegetable Hakka Noodles Recipe

Vegetable Hakka Noodles are fun to prepare and yummy to eat. I would like to share this recipe with my readers.The easy snack is enjoyed and relished by kids.




Preparation Time: 25 Mins
Ingredients:

Packet of Hakka Noodles  ( Ching Ming)
1/2 packet of Masala (comes with the Hakka Noodles)
Oil
1 medium sized carrot
1/2 cabbage
10-12 French Beans
2 medium sized capsicum
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp chilly sauce
4 tbsp tomato sauce
Salt to taste

Method: 

1. Break the noodles into small pieces


2. Boil the noodles till they are half cooked. Drain the water and add two tbsp of oil to avoid sticking.


3. Slice the vegetables vertically. Now take a pan, put 2-3 tbsp of oil; and fry the sliced vegetables till done by adding little salt.

4. Add the noodles and mix them. Add tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soya sauce, 1 tsp chilly sauce. Add little water and mix it well. Keep it for 5- 8 min on low flame.

5. Take it off from the gas when the water has been absorbed. The tasty Noodles are ready to munch on!!

Green Chutney Recipe

Take half bunch of coriander leaves. Wash them and put in the mixer.

Add quarter tsp zeera powder, 1 green chilly, quarter tsp ginger garlic paste, pinch of salt, quarter tsp sugar, some drops of lemon juice and little water and grind them together.

The green chutney is prepared which can be served along with Aloo Tikies and Burgers.


Yummy Chole Bathure Recipe

This is another recipe which is favorite among the North Indians. The dish is great for parties and can be prepared in minutes.

                         
Chole

Preparation Time:  35 Mins
Ingredients:
200 gms of chick peas (chole)
2 Medium sized chopped onlions
4 medium size chopped tomatoes
3-4 tbsp oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp zeera powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp chole masala 
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
2 cinnamon sticks (Dalchini)
3-4 Bay Leaves (Tej Pata)
1 Lemon
Coriander Leaves

Method:  

1. Soak the chole overnight in water.

                            

2. Boil the chole with a pinch of eating soda. Take a pan , ad 4-5 tbsp of oil, add laung, dalchini and bay leaves and sauté them.



                          
3. Add chopped onions, add ginger garlic paste and fry it till brown. Add chopped tomatoes/puree and fry it for a minute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, zeera powder, garam masala and chole masala to it. Pour in some water and let it cook for 5 mins on low flame.
                            

4. Add boiled chole to the mixture, add half a cup of water and let it cook for 15 mins on low flame. Add 2 tsp of lemon juice to it and garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

                           

Bathure:

Preparation Time: 35 mins
Ingredients:
250 gms Maida
Salt to taste
3-4 tbsp of oil
½ cup curd

Method:

1. Knead the maida with salt, oil and curd. If the curd is less, you can also add some water to it and make it into a smooth dough. 

                           

2. Keep the dough covered with a cloth for about an hour. The dough should not be too soft or too hard.

3. Fry it by making round shaped puris (should be big ). The puris should be deep-fried on a high flame.

Sai Bhaji Sindhi Recipe

Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 20 minutes

Ingredients 
1 bunch of palak 
2 small chopped onions 
3 medium sized chopped tomatoes
1 small chopped brinjal 
1 small chopped carrot 
1 big bowl of channa dal    
1 tsp ginger garlic paste 
2 tsp turmeric powder 
1 tsp coriander powder 
1 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp oil

Method of cooking

1. Soak channa dal in water for half an hour then heat oil in pressure cooker add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste and sauté it till light brown.     
                                                                                                                                                                                      
                           
                           
                           
2. Add chopped tomatoes chopped brinjal and chopped carrot and sauté it for 5 minutes. Then add turmeric powder chilli powder coriander powder and salt to taste and mix it.
                           
3. Then chop the Palak wash it and add to it and leave it for 5 minutes with the lid covered. Then remove the lid add 1 glass of water and cook it giving 10 whistles. 

                             
4. Then after sometimes open the lid and churn it with a wooden churner and your Palak is ready it should not be too thick or too liquid it should be medium. You can eat it with Khichdi or with Yellow Rice.
